Hantharwady United Football Club () is a professional association football, football club based in Bago, Myanmar, Bago, Myanmar and represents the Bago Region. The club was a founding member of the Myanmar National League (MNL) in 2009. It finished in sixth place in the league's inaugural cup competition, the MNL Cup 2009. In 2012, the club changed its name from Okktha United to Hantharwady United. As Okktha United, the club won their first ever major trophy by winning the MFF Cup in 2010. History 2019–2011 Hantharwady United was a founding member of the Myanmar National League in 2009 as Okktha United. This team represents the Bago Region. The team owner is Aung Moe Kyaw of International Beverages Trading (IBT). 2012–14 In 2012, the club was renamed to Hantharwady United where they got relegated to MNL-2. Bago Division
Bago Region (, ; formerly Pegu Division and Bago Division) is an administrative region of Myanmar, located in the southern central part of the country. It is bordered by Magway Region and Mandalay Region to the north; Kayin State, Mon State and the Gulf of Martaban to the east; Yangon Region to the south and Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State to the west. Kekere Moukailou (; born 8 August 1992) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Myanmar club Hanthawaddy United. He has played in Thailand. Ayeyawady United Football Club () is a Burmese professional football club based in Pathein, Ayeyawady. The club was a founding member of the Myanmar National League (MNL) in 2009. The club finished tied at the last place in the inaugural cup competition, the MNL Cup 2009. The owners of former Delta United took over the club. 2020 Myanmar National League
The 2020 Myanmar National League is the 11th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Myanmar professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 2009. It is also known as MPT Myanmar National League due to the sponsorship deal with Myanma Posts and Telecommunications.
