''Oiltown, U.S.A.'' is a 1953 American Christianity, Christian Technicolor Drama (film and television), drama film directed by Dick Ross. It stars Colleen Townsend, Paul Power, and Billy Graham (evangelist), Billy Graham. It is the Sequel, sequel to the 1951 western ''Mr. Texas (film), Mr. Texas''. It was shown to audiences free of cost. Plot In Houston, Texas, Les Manning is a ruthless oil tycoon. One day, his daughter Christine returns to Houston from college with her friend Jane to spend the summer at her family home. It is revealed that her mother died of an unspecified illness when she was little, and that Les seldom talks about her. One of Les' employees named Bob Johnson contacts Katherine and Jim Tyler to lease their ranch for Manning Oil Company. Having spent time with the Tylers, Christine begin talking more about religion. This upsets Les, who confronts Jim and later forbids her from seeing the couple. Christine finds out from Bob what her father is like as a person. ...

Colleen Townsend
Colleen Townsend Evans (born December 21, 1928) is an American actress, author and Humanitarianism, humanitarian. Early years Townsend was born in Glendale, California. Her parents separated "when she was a tot," after which she lived with her mother. She attended Brigham Young University, leaving during her sophomore year to pursue a film career. Life and career When Townsend was 15 year old she began performing on television as a member of the dramatic company at station KCBS-TV, W6XAO in Los Angeles. A talent scout saw her work there, which led to her signing a contract with Warner Bros. Townsend began a film career in 1944, appearing in minor roles in several films. By 1946, she was appearing on the cover of magazines, and in 1947, she was signed to a contract by 20th Century Fox.
