Abner Nash Ogden (September 19, 1809 – August 11, 1875) was a justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court from May 4, 1853, to July, 1855. Born in Hillsborough, North Carolina, Ogden's father was judge Robert Ogden and his maternal grandfather was North Carolina Governor Abner Nash. Following an amendment to the Louisiana Constitution allowing direct election of justices, Ogden was elected to serve as an associate justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court for a term beginning May 4, 1853,Lamar C. Henry (Harry) Alexander Ogden, also known as H. A. Ogden, (1856–1936) was an American illustrator particularly of historical and military subjects. Biography He was born in Philadelphia on July 17, 1856 but moved to Brooklyn, New York when he was quite young and it was at the Brooklyn Institute and the Brooklyn Academy of Design that he received his first training in art. At the age of 17, he began work with Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper. This allowed him to travel extensively around the United States and Europe. One visit to the American West in 1877 resulted in over 200 illustrations. In 1881 he resigned from Leslie's to set up as a free-lance artist, submitting numerous illustrations to various newspapers and magazines. A number of these were illustrations of historical scenes, and Ogden's interest in early America and the Revolutionary War led him to his most ambitious project, to record the uniforms of the United States Army. Maureen Black Ogden (November 1, 1928 – August 17, 2022) was an American Republican Party politician who served seven terms in the New Jersey General Assembly between 1982 and 1996. She represented the 22nd Legislative District for five terms until 1992 then was shifted to the 21st Legislative District (in redistricting following the 1990 United States census) where she served two terms of office. Early life Ogden was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in 1928 and emigrated to the United States in 1930 with her family. Jonathan Robert Ogden (13 June 1806 – 26 March 1882) was an English composer, known for ''Holy Songs and Musical Prayers'', published in 1842. Life Ogden was born in Leeds; his father, Robert Ogden (died 1816), was in partnership there with Thomas Bolton, a Liverpool merchant. Ogden was educated in Leeds, partly under Joseph Hutton, minister of Mill Hill Unitarian Chapel; he became a unitarian, though his parents were members of the Church of England. Jonathan Ogden (died 1803) was a Canadian surgeon and chief justice of Newfoundland. Born in Nova Scotia, Ogden was sent to St. John's in 1784 as assistant surgeon for the Royal Navy. In 1794, he was appointed magistrate for St. John's and then in 1798 as magistrate of all of Newfoundland and deputy naval officer under Richard Hatt Noble. Jonathan Phillip Ogden (born July 31, 1974) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle and spent his entire career with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the UCLA Bruins, and was recognized as a unanimous All-American.
