Retrieved 13 June 2012. is a British hedge fund manager and founder of Odey Asset Management. In June 2023, the ''Financial Times'' published an investigative report which alleged that Odey had sexually harassed or assaulted 13 women over the course of 25 years. Odey denied the allegations. Odey Asset Management announced shortly afterwards that Odey would be leaving the firm. Investors soon started pulling their money from the firm following the report, prompting it to suspend withdrawals. In late June 2023 the company suspended flagship hedge funds, and it was speculated that it might break up. In March 2025, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) fined Crispin Odey £1.8 million and banned him from the UK financial services industry for a 'lack of integrity'. Damon Odey (born 17 May 1971) is the former mayor of the New Zealand town of Timaru. Biography Odey was born in 1971 in South Canterbury, New Zealand. He later moved into the town of Timaru. Odey's professional background is in engineering. George Odey
George William Odey CBE DL (21 April 1900 – 16 October 1985) was a business leader in the United Kingdom leather tanning industry who held the post of chairman of the Barrow Hepburn Group from 1937 until 1974. He was also a Conservative Party politician who served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1947 to 1955. He was educated at Faversham Grammar School and University College London. He was elected as MP for the Howdenshire constituency at a by-election in 1947. When that constituency was abolished in boundary changes for the 1950 general election, he was returned to the House of Commons at for the newly recreated Beverley constituency, and held the seat until its abolition for the 1955 general election. John Odey
John Ogar Odey (1 November 1959 – 7 October 2018) was a Nigerian politician who served as minister of information and communications in July 2007 and became minister for environment in December 2008 after President Umaru Yar'Adua reshuffled his cabinet. Biography Odey graduated with a B.Sc. in banking and finance from the University of Calabar in 1986. He was active within the media, with positions such as general manager for South-South Communication and chairman of News Agency of Nigeria. He was appointed National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2004. He served as minister of information and communications and then as minister for the environment in the cabinet of Umaru Yar'Adua. In March 2010, he handed over to the permanent secretary for the ministry of environment after Vice President Goodluck Jonathan dissolved his cabinet.
