October 2023 UNRWA School Airstrike
In the Gaza war, as part of the bombing and invasion of Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has conducted numerous airstrikes in densely populated Palestinian refugee camps in both the Gaza Strip and West Bank. Gaza Strip Jabaliya 9–22 October Following Israeli airstrikes on other areas of Gaza, internally displaced Gazans fled to the Jabaliya camp. At the time of the attack, the market was full, with customers and vendors stocking up on goods. The airstrike hit the al-Trans area of the Jabalia market, one of the most populated areas of Jabaliya. Survivors of the attack, speaking to France 24, stated that the airstrike "hit in the heart of the market", and in the immediate aftermath, there were many dead. Ibrahim Qusaya
Ibrahim Qusaya (; 7 December 1991 – 14 November 2023), also spelled as Ibrahim Qassiya or Ibrahim Qasia, was a Palestinian volleyball player. He attended Ahmad al-Shaqiri School and received a bachelor's degree in physical education from Al-Aqsa University. Sports career Qusaya was a member of the Palestinian national volleyball team. He won a bronze medal in the 2021 West Asian Beach Soccer Championship. Together with Abdallah Al-Arqan he represented Palestine in the men’s beach volleyball event at the 2023 Asian Games in Ningbo, China. Daniel Hagari (; born 1976) is an Israel Defense Forces Rear Admiral ( Tat-Aluf) who currently serves as the head of the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. Previously he has served as the commander of the Israeli Navy's operations directorate, the Chief of Staff's assistant, Commander of the Shayetet 13 marine commando unit and the office of the Chief of Staff. The Interior Minister in the Gaza Strip is an office created in June 2007, following the Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip, that left the Ramallah-based version of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) as the Palestinian leadership in only the occupied West Bank and a Hamas-led government in control of the Gaza Strip.
