Obertrum
Obertrum am See is a market town in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung in the state of Salzburg in Austria. It had a population of 4,639 as of January 1, 2014. Geography The town is located roughly 15 km north of Salzburg in the Flachgau at the southern end of the Obertrumer See. The lake, together with Mattsee, Wallersee and Grabensee, forms the Salzburg lake district, a touristic area. Obertrum is surrounded by Haunsberg on the east side and the Buchberg on the west side. History Obertrum am See was first mentioned in 1143 as "Druma", which is a rough equivalent of "south end of the sea". This comes from the fact that the three lakes nearby were connected in the past. Until 1398 the bishopric of Passau had control over the region near Mattsee, which included Obertrum. Mattsee
Mattsee is a market town at the eponymous lake in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Salzburg. History About 765 Duke Tassilo III of Bavaria established the Mattsee Benedictine Abbey, which became a part of the Diocese of Passau in 993 and was transformed into a college of canons. The Bishops of Passau had the Mattsee Castle built in the 12th century. Under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Salzburg since 1807, the college still exists today. The abbey church, a Gothic building, has a rich Baroque equipment and a prominent 60m/197 ft high steeple added in 1766. Adjacent is a museum showing paintings of Johann Michael Rottmayr, an astronomical clock and an 860 grant deed by King Louis the German. Salzburg Lake District

Wallersee
Der Wallersee is a lake in the Austrian state of Salzburg northeast of the city oft Salzburg in Salzburg-Umgebung District. Around the lake there is a hiking path of about length; at its southern part, it confluences with the famous Camino de Santiago (Austrian route). There are two campsite resorts.
