''Obama BasedGod'' is a mixtape by American rapper Lil B. It was released digitally for free on July 30, 2012 through Lil B's own record label, BasedWorld Records. The mixtape references Barack Obama, the first List of African-American firsts, African-American President of the United States and features tracks that focus politics and societal issues. Music ''Obama Basedgod'' is described as Lil B's "most straightforward Hip hop music, ''rap-rap''" release since 2011's ''I'm Gay (I'm Happy)''." On the mixtape's production, Lil B stokes "nostalgia for the Diplomats' or Jay-Z, Hov's heyday with sped-up Soul music, soul and Motown singles throughout." Brandon Christopher McCartney (born August 17, 1989), known professionally as Lil B and Lil B The BasedGod, is an American rapper. He began his career as a member of the Berkeley, California-based hip hop group the Pack in 2005, who signed with Too Short's Up All Nite Records, an imprint of Jive Records the following year. ''Chameleon'' is the sixth album by the American singing trio Labelle. Though Patti LaBelle's autobiography ''Don't Block The Blessings'' revealed that LaBelle planned a follow-up to ''Chameleon'' entitled ''Shaman'', the album never materialized. The trio would not release another new recording until 2008's ''Back to Now''. The final album was moderately successful peaking at #94 at the Pop charts and #21 on the R&B charts. Labelle was an American funk rock band that originated out of the Blue Belles, a girl group who were a popular vocal group of the 1960s and 1970s.
