O Tico-Tico
''O Tico-Tico'' was a weekly Brazilian children's magazine, published between 1905 and 1977. It was the first magazine to publish comics in Brazil. It also featured stories and educational activities. Among its famous readers were Erico Verissimo, Lygia Fagundes Telles, Ruy Barbosa and Carlos Drummond de Andrade. History and profile ''O Tico Tico'' was founded by journalist Luis Bartolomeu de Souza e Silva, inspired by foreign magazines such as the French ''La Semaine de Suzette''. The date of its first issue was October 11, 1905. Luis Bartolomeu de Souza e Silva also launched a satirical magazine, ''O Malho''. O Tico Tico was published by the O Malho group. Angelo Agostini
Angelo Agostini (8 April 1843 – 23 January 1910) was an Italian-born Brazilian illustrator, journalist and founder of several publications, and although born in Italy, is considered the first Brazilian cartoonist. Biography Agostini was born in Vercelli, Italy, but following adolescence and art studies in Paris, he arrived in Brazil in 1859 with his mother the singer Raquel Agostini, and settled. At an early age, he published drawn work in the São Paulo publication ''Diabo Coxo'' on 17 September 1864. Following more work published in ''Cabrião'' and ''Revista Arlequim'', Agostini produced a sequential image story serialised in ''Vida Fluminense'' titled ''As Aventuras de Nhô Quim'' (''The Adventures of Nhô Quim''). Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse is an American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. The longtime icon and mascot of the Walt Disney Company, Mickey is an anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large shoes, and white gloves. He is often depicted with a Mickey Mouse universe, cast of characters including his girlfriend Minnie Mouse, his pet dog Pluto (Disney), Pluto, his best friends Donald Duck and Goofy, and his nemesis Pete (Disney), Pete.
