OTV (Lebanon)
OTV (, launched in 2007) is a publicly traded television station in Lebanon, connected to the Free Patriotic Movement political party (التيار اللوطني الحر). It is nicknamed 'Orange TV' due to its orange logo, which has been linked with the FPM, whose logo is also orange. Launching OTV began broadcasting on 20 July 2007 on the Arabsat satellite, on the 11823 MHz frequency, but launched officially in 2008 after a testing period of almost six months. OTV now covers the world through different broadcasting channels for European Union, Canada, United States, Australia, and the Arab World. In addition, www.otv.com.lb offers live-streaming coverage on the internet. OTV targets all Lebanese in particular and Arabs in general. Murr Television, marketed and known as MTV Lebanon, is a Lebanon, Lebanese television station based in Naccache, Metn District. It was founded in 1991 by businessman Gabriel Murr (brother of Lebanese politician Michel Murr) as an independent channel emphasizing local programming while also broadcasting Arab and Western content. Future Television (, ''Televizyon al-Mustaqbal'') was a Lebanese free-to-air television station founded in 1993 by the Future Movement leader Rafic Hariri, a former Prime Minister of Lebanon. Future TV was also available via satellite in the Arab world, European Union, United States, Canada, and Australia, but is currently broadcast on a frequency of the lebanese satellite service provider Cablevision. Politically, the channel supported the views of the Future Movement. The channel also had a sister channel, Future News, which is remains defunct. National Broadcasting Network known as NBN is the official television of the Lebanese Amal Movement. The National Broadcasting Network s.a.l. NBN, is a Lebanese private company by shares, founded in 1996 by Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker and head of Amal movement, Nabih Berri, pursuant to Decree No. 10059 of January 10, 1998.
