OT301 is a self-managed social centre in a legalized squat in the Dutch city of Amsterdam, located on Overtoom 301. History In 1999, a group of artists squatted the former Dutch film academy. After serving as a breeding ground for several years, the building was bought by the user association Eerste Hulp Bij Kunst (EHBK) from the council in 2006. It is used as a multi-media alternative cultural centre, comparable to projects in other Dutch cities, such as Extrapool in Nijmegen and WORM in Rotterdam. Extrapool
Extrapool is a Nijmegen based non-profit foundation, and an artist-run initiative focused on experimental music, movies, avant-garde art, and underground art. Extrapool was raised in 1991 and is funded by the city of Nijmegen. Extrapool organises festivals and concerts, movie nights, artists in residencies, and produces publications. Part of the organisation is also a silk screen studio, and a music studio. The visual workspace and music studio both run free artist in residence programs for artists and experimental musicians. Besides the venue and studio the foundation also has a shop with left field music, art house movies and books about subjects related to the cultural focus of the organisation. WORM (Rotterdam)
WORM is a Rotterdam based non-profit foundation and a multi-media alternative cultural centre focused on experimental, new media art, avant-garde and underground art, primarily music and movies. WORM is funded by the Triodos Bank and part of the culture nota 2009–2012 from the Dutch government. The foundation has received the Pendrecht Culture Prize and its venue is part of the Rotterdam culture plan. European Youth For Action
European Youth For Action (EYFA) is an environmental youth network in Europe. It is based in Amsterdam and has partner organizations in 18 European countries. History EYFA started in 1985 as the European Youth Forest Action; a campaign organised by Youth and Environment Europe with then still an office in Denmark. YEE employed the German Petra Keppler for a while as she held office in Amsterdam. After the first bustour Amsterdam-Budapest EYFA was split off to an independent youth organisation and moved to Sittard.
