OSU Ice Arena
The Ohio State University Ice Rink is a 1,000-seat hockey rink located at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The rink was built in 1961 and houses the Ohio State Buckeyes women's ice hockey team. The men's hockey team occupied the facility from 1963 until 1998, when the Value City Arena was completed. A 1999 renovation brought the rink to full NHL dimensions and improved the facilities. The Ohio State Buckeyes men's ice hockey team is an NCAA Division I college ice hockey program that represents Ohio State University. The Buckeyes are a member of the Big Ten Conference. They play at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. History The Ohio State Buckeyes men's ice hockey program began in 1963, the team played at the new Ohio State Ice Rink, constructed in 1961. Value City Arena is a multi-purpose arena, located on the campus of Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The arena opened in 1998 and is currently the largest by seating capacity in the Big Ten Conference, with 19,049 seats, which is reduced to 18,809 for Ohio State men's and women’s basketball games. Ohio Stadium is an American football stadium in Columbus, Ohio, on the campus of Ohio State University. Central Collegiate Hockey Association
The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) is a college athletic conference that participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. The current CCHA began play in the 2021–22 season; a previous incarnation, which the current CCHA recognizes as part of its history, existed from 1971 to 2013. Half of its members are located in the state of Michigan, with additional members in Minnesota and Ohio.
