Johnson County Executive Airport is a public airport located four miles (6 km) southeast of the central business district (CBD) of Olathe, a city in Johnson County, Kansas, United States. Measured by number of aircraft operations, the facility was the fourth-busiest airport in the state of Kansas in 2018. The airport was on the FAA's list of airports whose control tower could be closed in September 2013, but it remains in operation. History The airport was built as a naval auxiliary field for use in World War II. It was deeded to the city of Olathe in 1951, and to Johnson County in 1967. The airport had commercial airline service provided by Air Midwest from 1973 through 1977 and again briefly in 1984. Air Midwest had nonstop flights to the Kansas City International Airport and the Wichita Mid-Continent Airport using Beechcraft 99 and Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner II aircraft. Original Jazz Classics
Original Jazz Classics (or OJC) is a record label that was founded in 1983 as an imprint of Fantasy Records. Under this name original editions of jazz LPs have been reissued on CD and LP, and formerly on cassette as well. The recordings in the series were originally released on Riverside, Prestige, Contemporary, and other labels that were later purchased or absorbed by Fantasy. A limited edition series was begun in the late 1980s. In 2010, Concord Music Group began the series Original Jazz Classics Remasters to release remastered versions of albums with new liner notes and previously unreleased songs. In 2023, Craft Recordings attained rights to the Original Jazz Classics name and has announced plans to reissue popular titles from the label. Original Blues Classics, a sister series, is organised on similar principles and dedicated to albums by blues performers. Otero College
Otero College is a Public university, public community college in La Junta, Colorado. In fall 2022, the college had an enrollment of 999 students. History Otero College was established in 1941 and was named La Junta Junior College. Which was operated by the school district. In 1949, an election was held to consider proposal that the college become an independent unit supported by the county instead. It was approved and the college was renamed as Otero County Junior College. The College changed its name again, to Otero Junior College in 1956. On February 20, 1968, the Otero County Junior College District voted in favor of Otero Junior College joining the state system. The college officially became a state two-year college on July 1, 1968. On May 18, 2021, Governor of Colorado, Colorado's governor signed a law officially changing the college's name from Otero Junior College to Otero College.
