Öcs
Öcs is a village in Ajka district, Veszprém county, Hungary. History The area of the village was inhabited even in early historical times. Prehistoric, Roman, Celtic, Avar, and Hungarian conquest-era artifacts have been unearthed in various places in the vicinity of the settlement. The first written record of the settlement dates back to 1278 under the name Ech. The village served as a link between the northern landscape beyond the mountains and the Balaton Highlands to the east. The village was inhabited by single nobles, and although it depopulated multiple times, it was always rebuilt. In later times, the village name originated from the Ichy and Nemes Eöcsy family names. The entire territory belonged to noble mansions. Until the 16th century, its society consisted solely of nobles. In the 17th century, the population mingled with commoners. OCS, or previously known as Orange Cinéma Séries, was a group of French pay television television network, networks that is dedicated to films and series. It was launched in November 2008 by Orange S.A. and was later sold to Groupe Canal+ The channels launched on November 13, 2008, as part of the company's new direct-broadcast satellite, direct-to-home satellite service and was exclusive to Orange TV. The Federation of Old Cornwall Societies (FOCS) was formed in 1924, on the initiative of Robert Morton Nance, with the objective of collecting and maintaining "all those ancient things that make the spirit of Cornwall — its traditions, its old words and ways, and what remains to it of Cornish language, its Celtic language and nationality".
