O.A.C.A. Olympic Indoor Hall
OAKA Basketball Arena, previously known as Olympic Indoor Hall of O.A.C.A., is a part of the Spyros Louis Olympic Athletic Center of Athens (). It was completed in 1994 and is the largest indoor venue in Greece. It was used for sporting events at the 2004 Summer Olympics. The venue is located in Marousi, a northern suburb of Athens. During its construction, it was considered to be one of the biggest and most modern indoor sports arenas in all of Europe. The 18,300-capacity arena is accompanied by an adjacent training facility, and a parking lot. In 2023, Panathinaikos B.C. signed an agreement with the Greek state for a 49-year concession of the asset, making the club the sole tenant and binding it to invest in the renovation of the asset's infrastructure. Athens Olympic Sports Complex
The Olympic Athletic Center of Athens Spiros Louis (, ''Olympiakó Athlitikó Kéntro Athinón "Spýros Loúis"'') or OACA (OAKA)), is a sport facilities complex located at Marousi, in the north section of the city. The complex consists of five major venues as well as other supplementary sport facilities. The Olympic Athletic Center of Athens has hosted the Mediterranean Games in 1991, the World Championship in Athletics in 1997 as well as other important athletic and cultural events. The most significant event the Athens Olympic Sports Complex has hosted, was the Olympic Games. OACA was the main venue for the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. The 2006–07 Euroleague was the 7th season of the professional basketball competition for elite clubs throughout Europe, organised by Euroleague Basketball Company, and it was the 50th season of the premier competition for European men's clubs overall. EuroLeague
The EuroLeague is a European men's professional basketball club competition. The league is widely recognised as the top-tier and the most prestigious men's basketball league in Europe. The league consists of 20 teams, of which 16 are given long-term licences and wild cards, making the league a semi-closed league. The league was first organized by FIBA in 1958, subsequently by ULEB in 2000 and then solely by Euroleague Basketball. EuroBasket 2029
The EuroBasket 2029 will be the 43rd edition of the EuroBasket championship, the quadrennial international men's basketball championship organized by FIBA Europe. Like the previous four editions, the tournament will be co-hosted by multiple countries; Estonia, Greece, Slovenia and Spain. It will take place in the summer of 2029. The 1998 FIBA World Championship was the 13th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship for men's national teams. The tournament was organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), and hosted in Greece from 29 July to 9 August 1998. The Greece men's national basketball team () represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked 13th in the FIBA World Ranking. Greece have appeared nine times at the FIBA World Cup, with their best result coming in 2006 as runners-up, after beating the United States 101–95 in the tournament's semi-final.
