O-Town
O-Town is an American boy band formed from the first season of the reality television series '' Making the Band'' in 2000. As of 2015, the group consists of Erik-Michael Estrada, Trevor Penick, Jacob Underwood, and Dan Miller. The original line up included Ashley Parker Angel and Ikaika Kahoano, who was replaced by Miller after dropping out of the group. After releasing two albums near the end of the boy band fad of the late 1990s and early 2000s, the group disbanded in 2003. The group was originally managed by Lou Pearlman during their first season of ''Making the Band'', but later managed by Mike Cronin and Mike Morin for their debut album and remaining television seasons. ''O-Town'' is the debut studio album released by American boy band O-Town. It was released on January 23, 2001, in the United States by J Records, Trans Continental Records, and BMG. Background The album was first released on January 23, 2001, in the United States. It contained a total of twelve tracks. Around this time, the album was also released in Japan, with two bonus remixes exclusively for the market. In March 2001, the band were asked into the studio to record a song for the ''Dr. Dolittle 2'' soundtrack. The track, " We Fit Together", featured on the soundtrack, released in June 2001. Following the release of the single "All or Nothing", the album was released in Europe and the United Kingdom on August 6, 2001, complete with "We Fit Together" as a bonus track, bringing the number of tracks to thirteen. Ashley Parker Angel is an American musician and actor who rose to prominence as a member of the boy band O-Town. After the band dissolved, he had a brief solo music career, and was the only former band member who declined to go on a reunion tour with O-Town in 2011. Parker Angel has acted in several Broadway productions since 2007, and most recently appeared in ''Wicked'' as the lead male character Fiyero Tigelaar. Louis Jay Pearlman (June 19, 1954 – August 19, 2016) was an American music manager and scam artist. He was the person behind many successful 1990s boy bands, having formed and funded the Backstreet Boys. After their massive success, he then developed NSYNC. In 2006, he was accused of running one of the largest and longest-running Ponzi schemes in United States history, leaving more than $300 million in debts. After attempting to evade capture, Pearlman was apprehended in Bali, Indonesia in June 2007. He pled guilty to conspiracy, money laundering, and making false statements during bankruptcy proceedings. In 2008, Pearlman was convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison. He died in federal custody in 2016.
