Naples Metro
The Naples Metro ( it, Metropolitana di Napoli; nap, Metrupulitana 'e Napule) is the rapid transit system serving the city of Naples, Italy. The system comprises three underground rapid transit lines ( Line 1, Line 6 and the Naples-Aversa Metro). History In 1911, construction on the urban section of the Rome–Formia–Naples railway, the Villa Literno–Napoli Gianturco railway was commenced, and although it was suspended for the duration of World War I, the line was eventually opened on 28 September 1925 as an urban railway service line, the first in Italy. This service is now known as Line 2. After World War II, the existing Circumvesuviana railway was upgraded to a modern commuter rail, and also the Cumana railway became relevant for the commuter transport. Castel Dell'Ovo
Castel dell'Ovo ("Egg Castle") is a seafront castle in Naples, located on the former island of Megaride, now a peninsula, on the Gulf of Naples in Italy. The castle's name comes from a legend about the Roman poet Virgil, who had a reputation in the Middle Ages as a great sorcerer and predictor of the future. In the legend, Virgil put a magical egg into the foundations to support the fortifications. It remains there along with his bones, and had this egg been broken, the castle would have been destroyed and a series of disastrous events for Naples would have followed. Montesanto Station
The Montesanto station, in Naples, is a station located at the terminus of the Cumana and Circumflegrea railway lines, both of the former SEPSA. Structures and systems The building, in the 1880s on a design by the engineer Antonio Liotta inspired by the liberty style, was the subject, between 2005 and 2008, of a demanding and radical restoration conceived by the neapolitan architect Silvio D'Ascia who the original structure has been completely transformed thanks to the use of large glazed surfaces (1,700 m2 of glass roofs) and metal members (3,500 m2 of stainless steel cladding). The station has 4 tracks: the first and second are part of the Cumana railway, the third and fourth are part of the Circumflegrea railway. Museo (Naples Metro)
Museo is a station on line 1 of the Naples Metro. It was opened on 5 April 2001 as the eastern terminus of the section of the line between Vanvitelli and Museo. On 27 March 2002 the line was extended to Dante. The station is located between Materdei and Dante. Vanvitelli (Naples Metro)
Vanvitelli is an underground metro station that serves Line 1 on the Naples Metro. It was opened on 28 May 1993 as the southern terminus of the inaugural section of Naples Metro, between Vanvitelli and Colli Aminei. On 5 April 2001, the line was extended to Museo, and Vanvitelli ceased to be the terminus. The station was built according to the plans of Michele Capobianco and has undergone a radical restoration (thanks to which the station is part of the circuit of art stations) directed by Michele Capobianco and his son Lorenzo Capobianco with artistic consulting by Achille Bonito Oliva. The entrances are placed in the four corners of Piazza Vanvitelli, as well as an underground corridor that leads from the station directly to the two funiculars namely that of Chiaia and Central. The descent to the level of the tracks is via two sets of fixed stairs and furniture while the output directly via a single ramp. You can also make use of the elevators. Museo di Capodimonte is an art museum located in the Palace of Capodimonte, a grand Bourbon palazzo in Naples, Italy. National Archaeological Museum (Naples)

Metronapoli SpA was an Italian company responsible for the provision of public transport in the city of Naples, and its primary function was the operation and maintenance of the Naples Metro system. It was founded on 26 July 2000 and became operational on 1 February 2001. Metronapoli was a fully state-controlled joint-stock corporation.
