Néondian
''Néondian'' is a 1985 album by the German musician Klaus Dinger. ''Néondian'' was originally intended to be released as the fourth La Düsseldorf album (and titled ''Mon Amour''), but the departure of Dinger's two bandmates in 1983 and the ensuing legal battle over the band's name forced Teldec to release the album under the obscure moniker "Klaus Dinger + Rheinita Bella Düsseldorf" (referencing La Düsseldorf's best selling single - "Rheinita"). Recording The basic tracks for the album were recorded in 1983 by Klaus and Thomas Dinger at the newly built Zeeland Studios near the Netherlands, Dutch town of Kamperland. For the first time, Dinger had access to digital synthesizers and other new technology, which he made use of on the record. This later led him to dismiss the album as "mechanical music". Klaus Dinger
Klaus Dinger (24 March 1946 – 21 March 2008) was a German musician and songwriter most famous for his contributions to the seminal krautrock band Neu!. He was also the guitarist and chief songwriter of New wave music, new wave group La Düsseldorf and briefly the percussionist of Kraftwerk. 1946–1971: The No, The Smash, and Kraftwerk Klaus Dinger was born in Scherfede, Province of Westphalia, Westphalia, Germany, to Heinz and Renate Dinger on 24 March, 1946. He was their first child. Before he was a year old, his parents moved from the town, which had been badly damaged by an Allies of World War II, Allied siege at the end of World War II, to Düsseldorf. Jaki Liebezeit
Jaki Liebezeit (born Hans Liebezeit; 26 May 1938 – 22 January 2017) was a German drummer, best known as a founding member of experimental rock band Can. He was called "one of the few drummers to convincingly meld the funky and the cerebral". Biography Early life Hans Liebezeit was born in the village of Ostrau south of Dresden, Germany. His mother, Elisabeth, was from Lower Saxony. His father, Karl Moritz Johannes Liebezeit, was the music teacher at the village school, specialising in accordion and violin, and taught both instruments to Hans, who treasured his father's accordion for the rest of his life. His father was forced to stop teaching music during the Nazi period, and died in mysterious circumstances on 18 August 1943. ''Individuellos'' is the third album by the German band La Düsseldorf. It was shortly before the time ''Individuellos'' was released that La Düsseldorf's piano player Andreas Schell committed suicide. This is marked by a cross next to his credit. His credit for piano on "Das Yvonnchen" is the only musician's credit on the album. Writers' credits go to Klaus Dinger, Thomas Dinger (Tintarella Di ...), K+T Dinger (Dampfriemen), and Klaus Dinger, Thomas Dinger, Hans Lampe and Andreas Schell for "Das Yvonnchen". Musically, "Lieber Honig 1981" has nothing in common with NEU!'s "Lieber Honig"; it is an instrumental version of "Menschen". ''Ich Liebe Dich'' is the fourth and final single released by German band La Düsseldorf. The single was released in advance of a fourth album (to be called "''Mon Amour''") just before Valentine's Day 1983. ''Mon Amour'' was shelved soon after the single's release, although much of its material was worked into Klaus Dinger's debut solo album Neondian, including a remixed version of "Ich Liebe Dich". Background & Release Following the failure of La Düsseldorf's third album ''Individuellos'' in 1980, tensions between band members became more prevalent. Thomas Dinger recorded a solo album (''Für Mich'') in 1982, and drummer Hans Lampe threatened to leave the band. Herbert Arthur Wiglev Clamor Grönemeyer (born 12 April 1956) is a German singer, musician, producer, composer and actor, popular in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Grönemeyer starred as war correspondent Lieutenant Werner in Wolfgang Petersen's 1981 film ''Das Boot'', but later focused on his musical career. ''Viva'' is the second album by La Düsseldorf, led by Klaus Dinger. It has both "Rheinita", which was their most successful single, and "Cha Cha 2000", which has become their most famous song. Overall, it was their most successful release. Different mixes/edits of "Rheinita" and "Viva" were released as singles; the single version of "Viva" is slightly longer and has a fadeout, the album version segues into "White Overalls". "Vögel" ("Birds") is a minute and a half of bird noises. All songs are written by Klaus Dinger. Reception At the time of release, Smash Hits opined "If you're looking for something different or something new to pose with and say ever-so-casually 'oh, haven't you heard of them?' to your friends, then try this.
