Nuria Diosdado
Nuria Diosdado García (born 22 August 1990 in Guadalajara) is a Mexican synchronized swimmer. She competed in the women's duet at the 2012 Olympic Games (with Isabel Delgado) and at the 2016 Olympics (with Karem Achach). Diosdado took up synchronised swimming at the age of 5, and began to compete at the age of 8. She won silver medals in the duet (with Achach) and team events at the 2015 Pan-American Games. She repeated the feat at the 2019 Pan-American Games, this time with Joana Jiménez in the duet. Synchronized Swimming
Synchronized swimming (in British English, synchronised swimming) or artistic swimming is a sport where swimmers perform a synchronized choreographed routine, accompanied by music. The sport is governed internationally by FINA (the ''Fédération internationale de natation'' or International Swimming Federation). It is traditionally a women's sport, although FINA introduced a new mixed gender duet competition that included one male swimmer in each duet at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships and LEN introduced men's individual events at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships. Artistic Swimming At The 2019 Pan American Games
Artistic swimming competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru are scheduled were held between July 29 and 31, 2019 at the Aquatics Centre in the Villa Deportiva Nacional Videna cluster. The sport was renamed from synchronized swimming to artistic swimming in 2017, making this the first edition of the Pan American Games to have the new title. The competition was open to only women, and two competitions were held: duet and team. The highest ranked team and the highest ranked duet will qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
