Nungshi Keithel
''Nungshi Keithel'' (English: ''Romantic Market'') is a 2021 Manipuri film directed by Mangal Chabungbam and produced by Sunil Thokchom under the banner of Ngangkhaleima Pictures. It stars Silheiba Ningthoujam and Biju Ningombam in the lead roles. The movie was released at Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Palace Compound on 26 December 2021. The film is an adaptation of Ranjit Ningthouja's famous Shumang leela ''Maogi Ebai''. It was also screened at the Sangai Film Festival 2022, which was organised as a part of the Manipur Sangai Festival. Synopsis The film sketches the love story of Leishemba Meitei and Rengamla Keishing that transcends religious, cultural, ethnic and geographical diversities. Silheiba Ningthoujam is an Indian actor who appears in Manipuri films. He has won a number of accolades, including a Manipur State Film Award. Rewben Mashangva
Rewben Mashangva, also Guru Rewben Mashangva (born June 21, 1961), is a folk musician and singer from Manipur, India. He is known for reviving musical tradition of the Tangkhul Naga of Manipur, and use of traditional musical instruments in his songs. Influenced by musicians such as Bob Dylan and Bob Marley, Rewben Mashangva has created many Naga tribal folk songs based on blues and ballad rhythms. Shumang Kumhei
Shumang Kumhei ( mni, /sū.máŋ kūm-hə́i/), also known as Shumang Leela (), is a Meitei traditional form of theatre, usually performed in Manipur, North East India. The theatre is arranged in the form of open air from four sides. The roles are all played by male actors, some dressed as beautiful ladies. The role of male characters are played by female artists in case of female theatre groups. This traditional theatre form was prevalent since the time of monarchical rule in Manipur.
