Nueva Mayoría
The ''Nueva Mayoría'', also dubbed in English as New Majority, was a Chilean centre-left electoral coalition from 2013 to 2018, composed mainly of centre-left political parties supporting the presidential candidacy of Michelle Bachelet in the 2013 election. Political objectives Michelle Bachelet stated that a principal objective of the Nueva Mayoría coalition was to achieve and establish a system of universal and free access to higher education within a time frame of six years. The first time the name of the new coalition was mentioned on 27 March 2013, when Bachelet agreed to be presidential candidate for the primary coalition. On that occasion, she asked that her eventual administration was "the first government of a ''new social majority''". Centre-left

MAS Region
The MAS Region ( es, MAS Región), known until 2014 as Broad Social Movement ( es, Movimiento Amplio Social, MAS) was a Chilean left-wing political party founded by Alejandro Navarro in 2008. The party was created as a political movement in 2008, by Senator Alejandro Navarro, after the then member of the Socialist Party (PS) began to feel poorly represented both by his party (which was then headed by Camilo Escalona) as the Concertacion, political coalition that owns the PS. The party is inspired by the Socialism of the 21st century. In 2009, after a failed presidential campaign, Navarro and the MAS members offer support to candidate Marco Enríquez-Ominami. The Radical Party of Chile ( es, Partido Radical de Chile), is a social-democratic political party in Chile. The party was founded as the Social Democrat Radical Party (''Partido Radical Socialdemócrata'') on 18 August 1994 out of a union between the Radical Party and the Social Democracy Party, both of which had received poor results in the parliamentary elections. The party re-adopted its historic name in 2018. The party supported Ricardo Lagos in the 1999–2000 presidential elections, who won 48.0% in the first round and was elected with 51.3% in the second round. The Christian Democratic Party ( es, Partido Demócrata Cristiano, PDC) is a Christian democratic political party in Chile. There have been three Christian Democrat presidents in the past, Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle, Patricio Aylwin, and Eduardo Frei Montalva. Customarily, the PDC backs specific initiatives in an effort to bridge socialism and laissez-faire capitalism. This economic system has been called "social capitalism" and is heavily influenced by Catholic social teaching or, more generally, Christian ethics. In addition to this objective, the PDC also supports a strong national government while remaining more conservative on social issues. Socialist Party Of Chile
The Socialist Party of Chile ( es, Partido Socialista de Chile, or PS) is a centre-left political party founded in 1933. Its historic leader was President of Chile Salvador Allende, who was deposed in a CIA-backed coup d'état by General Augusto Pinochet in 1973. The military junta immediately banned socialist, Marxist and other leftist political parties. Members of the Socialist party and other leftists were subject to violent suppression, including torture and murder, under the Pinochet dictatorship, and many went into exile.
