Nubia (DC Comics)
Nubia is a fictional character appearing in DC Comics publications and related media, commonly as an ally of Wonder Woman. Historically, she is DC Comics' first black female superhero. Originally introduced in 1973 as Wonder Woman's long-lost Mixed twins, fraternal twin sister and Queen of the Floating Island, today the character is depicted as one of the hero's oldest and closest friends. Created by Robert Kanigher and Don Heck, Nubia debuted in 1973's ''Wonder Woman (comic book), Wonder Woman'' #204 and appeared intermittently throughout Wonder Woman's Bronze Age of Comics, Bronze Age adventures. Alitha Martinez
Alitha E. Martinez is an American comic book artist best known for her work on for Marvel Comics's ''Iron Man'', the '' Heroes'' webcomics, and DC's ''Batgirl''. Over the course of her career she has worked for all the major comic book publishers, including Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, and Archie Comics. Career Martinez attended the School of Visual Arts in the mid-1990s. Supergirl is the name of several fictional superheroines appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The original, current, and most well known Supergirl is Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), Kara Zor-El, the cousin of superhero Superman. The character made her first appearance in ''Action Comics'' #252 (May 1959) and was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino. Ares (DC Comics)
Ares (also sometimes Mars) is a fictional character appearing in DC Comics publications and related media. Based on the eponymous Greek mythological figure, he is the Olympian god of war and major recurring adversary of the superhero Wonder Woman. He has been featured significantly as a persistent foe throughout every era of Wonder Woman's comic book adventures, and in many adaptations of her stories in other media. Ares first appeared in ''Wonder Woman'' #1, published in the summer of 1942, written by Wonder Woman creator William Moulton Marston. His introductory panels name him as Ares, though the narration goes on to note that he is "now called" by his Roman name Mars. Nubia (, Nobiin language, Nobiin: , ) is a region along the Nile river encompassing the area between the confluence of the Blue Nile, Blue and White Nile, White Niles (in Khartoum in central Sudan), and the Cataracts of the Nile, first cataract of the Nile (south of Aswan in southern Egypt) or more strictly, Al Dabbah, Sudan, Al Dabbah.
