Nubar Library
The Nubar Library is a cultural and scientific institution of the Armenian diaspora. It was founded in Paris in 1928 by Boghos Nubar, Boghos Nubar Pacha and is part of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU). Since 2012, it has been directed by historian Boris Adjemian. History The Nubar Library was founded in 1928 on the initiative of Boghos Nubar, Boghos Nubar Pacha, in an Art Deco building constructed in 1922 by a group of Armenian developers and designed by architect Levon Nalfiyan. From 1928 to 1951, its management was entrusted to Aram Andonian, then secretary to the Armenian National Delegation in Paris. Initially called the ''“Bibliothèque nationale arménienne de Paris,”'' the library was renamed the ''“Bibliothèque Nubar”'' after Boghos Nubar died in 1930. Nubar Pasha
Nubar Pasha GCSI (; ; January 1825 – 14 January 1899) was an Egyptian-Armenian politician and the first Prime Minister of Egypt. He served as Prime Minister three times during his career. His first term was between August 1878 and 23 February 1879. His second term was served from 10 January 1884 to 9 June 1888. His final term was between 16 April 1894 and 12 November 1895. Early life Nubar was born Nubar Nubarian () in Smyrna in January 1825, the son of a Christian Armenian merchant named Mgrdich, who had married a relative of Boghos Bey Yusufian, an influential minister of Muhammad Ali. Nansen passports, originally and officially stateless persons passports, were internationally recognized refugee travel documents from 1922 to 1938, first issued by the League of Nations's Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees to stateless refugees. The Musée Arménien de France is a private museum of Armenian art and archaeology located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris at Fondation Nourhan Fringhian, 59 avenue Foch, Paris, France.
