Nuance Party
The Nuance Party ( sv, Partiet Nyans) is a political party in Sweden founded in 2019. According to national broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT), the party aims mainly at the country's Muslim population. History The Nuance Party was founded in August 2019 by Mikail Yüksel, a Turkish-born politician who had been expelled from the Centre Party for alleged links to the Turkish ultranationalist group the Grey Wolves. In his founding statement, he said that Islamophobia should be a criminal offence, and that Sweden's Muslims should have a constitutional definition as a minority. The party was officially launched in September 2019 and registered with Sweden's Election Authority on 31 October 2019 to contest the 2022 Swedish general election, as well as the 2024 European Parliament election in Sweden. Mikail Yüksel
Mikail Yüksel (born 10 September 1982 in Kulu, Turkey) is a Swedish and Turkish politician in Sweden. He is the founder and leader of the Nuance Party, which focuses on Sweden's Muslim population. Political career Yüksel was formerly a member of the Centre Party but was expelled in 2018 after being in touch with the ultra-nationalist Turkish organization Gray Wolves. 2024 European Parliament Election In Sweden
The 2024 European Parliament election in Sweden will be held on 9 June 2024 as part of the 2024 European Parliament election. This will be the seventh European Parliament election held in Sweden, and the first to take place after Brexit. Electoral system Compared to last election, Sweden is entitled to one more MEP that has already been assigned in 2020 in the occasion of the redistribution post Brexit. The 21 members are elected through semi-open list proportional representation in a single nationwide constituency with seats allocated through modified Sainte-Laguë system and a 4% electoral threshold. Cultural assimilation is the process in which a minority group or culture comes to resemble a society's majority group or assume the values, behaviors, and beliefs of another group whether fully or partially. Foster care is a system in which a minor has been placed into a ward, group home ( residential child care community, treatment center, etc.), or private home of a state-certified caregiver, referred to as a "foster parent" or with a family member approved by the state.
