Ntore Habimana
Ntore Habimana (born August 15, 1997) is a Canadian-born Rwandan basketball player for the APR of the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). He is a member of the Rwanda national team. His position has been described as a point forward. Early life Habimana was born in Mississauga, Ontario to a Rwandan father and Burundian mother, who had moved to Canada in 1994. As a kid, he idolized Vince Carter. College career Habimana played five seasons of U Sports men's basketball for the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks and averaged 10.1 points in his final season. On February 18, 2020, he had a career-high 20 points against the Waterloo Warriors. Professional career On March 2, 2022, Habimana signed his first professional contract with REG BBC of the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Rwanda Basketball League
The Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) (formerly the National Basketball League Rwanda) is the top professional basketball league in Rwanda. Its season usually runs from November to September. The winners of the NBL season qualify for the qualifiers for the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The league currently consists of 14 teams, most of them being from the country's capital Kigali. The current champion of the NBL are REG, having won the 2022 title. REG and their rival Patriots BBC have dominated the league, winning all titles since 2015. Rwanda men's national basketball team is a basketball team that represents Rwanda in international competitions. It is administered by the Rwandan Basketball Federation (FERWABA) Rwanda has yet to qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup, but has qualified for the AfroBasket six times. The Basketball Africa League (BAL) is Africa's premier men's basketball league. The league consists of twelve teams, each qualified through their domestic competition, similar to the format of the UEFA Champions League. The league is a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and International Basketball Federation (FIBA) with sponsorship from Nike, Air Jordan and Pepsi. Its inaugural season started with the qualifying rounds in October 2019 and the regular season in May 2021. The competition replaces FIBA's Africa Basketball League as the continent's top-tier league. The Waterloo Warriors men's basketball team represents the University of Waterloo in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) of U Sports men's basketball. The Warriors have won the Wilson Cup, awarded to the OUA champions, 6 times: from 1974 to 1977, in 1983 and most recently in 1986. In addition, they have been awarded the W. P.
