Nowshahr () is a city in the Central District of Nowshahr County, Mazandaran province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It is a port city on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. History Ruyan is a region in the west of Mazandaran province. This land includes Kojur, Kalārestāq and Tonekabon. The city of Kojur was the center of the land of the Ruyans. Ruyan has always been part of Tabaristan, nowadays called Mazandaran province. Ruyan was also called Rostamdār, Ostandār and Rostamdele. The city of Chalus and its associated towns and villages were part of the Nowshahr township prior to 1996, after which they formed the new township of by legislation from the national parliament. Mazandarani People
Mazanderanis (), also known as the Tabari people or Tabarestani people ( or ), are an Iranian peoplesAcademic American Encyclopedia By Grolier Incorporated, page 294 who are indigenous to the Caspian Sea region of Iran. They are also referred to as Mazanis for short. They inhabit the southern coast of the Caspian Sea and are part of the historical region known as Tabaristan. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi
Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (26 October 1919 – 27 July 1980) was the last List of monarchs of Iran, Shah of Iran, ruling from 1941 to 1979. Northern Iran
Northern Iran (), is a geographical term that refers to a relatively large and fertile area, consisting of the southern border of the Caspian Sea and the Alborz mountains. It includes the provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan (ancient kingdom of Hyrcania, medieval region of Tabaristan). The major provinces, Gilan and Mazandaran, are covered with dense forests, snow-covered mountains and impressive sea shores. Noshahr Airport
Noshahr Airport (Persian: فرودگاه نوشهر) is an airport in Noshahr, Mazandaran province, Iran. Noshahhr was one of the touristic places and the most important port cities of northern Iran during the Pahlavi era. Noshahr was known as the summer capital of Iran, therefore the airport was used as a way to serve the former royal family of Iran or foreign officials visiting the Shah from Tehran. The airport was also aimed at serving the tourists visiting Noshahr and established special flights for employees of the National Iranian Oil Company to bring them from Ahvaz to Noshahr which was the closest airport to the National Iranian Oil Company hotels. The airport's total area is about 85 hectares, with a 2,100m long runway capable of accepting medium-sized aircraft. In 2016, 470 airlifts were arranged at the airport and 33,886 kg were loaded and 335,377 passengers were flown through it. Trewartha Climate Classification
The Trewartha climate classification (TCC), or the Köppen–Trewartha climate classification (KTC), is a climate classification system first published by American geographer Glenn Thomas Trewartha in 1966. It is a modified version of the Köppen–Geiger system, created to answer some of its deficiencies. The Trewartha system attempts to redefine the middle latitudes to be closer to vegetation zoning and genetic climate systems.
