Nowhera Shaik
Aalima Nowhera Shaik is an Indian entrepreneur and politician who has been accused of serious offences under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and under investigation by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office. She is the executive chairperson and founder of ''Heera Group'' and founder and current president of the All India Mahila Empowerment Party. On 28th may 2025, Nowhera Shaik was arrested in Faridabad Haryana for being involved in scamming UAE expats. The arrest was done by Hyderabad Central Crime Station led by the team of N Shwetha Reddy (DCP CCS),Harish Kumar (ACP CCS),Sonta Ravi Kumar(Sub Inspector,CCS)Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS). Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (ISO: ) is an Act of the Parliament of India enacted by the Indian Government to prevent money laundering and to provide for confiscation of property derived from money laundering. PMLA and the Rules notified thereunder came into force with effect from 1 July 2005. The Act and Rules notified thereunder impose obligation on banking companies, financial institutions and intermediaries to verify the identity of clients, maintain records and furnish information in prescribed form tFinancial Intelligence Unit – India(FIU-IND).
