Now Business News Channel
now Business News Channel is a 24-hour finance news channel. It is now TV's first self-produced channel, which was launched at 9 a.m. on 20 March 2006. The broadcast centre is located in Wanchai, Hong Kong. There is also a broadcast centre in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In addition to live broadcast, there is a one-hour delay stock ticker. In addition to finance and business-related news, there are talk-show programmes. RTHK programmes are also shown on the weekend. XDCAM
XDCAM is a series of products for digital recording using random access solid-state memory media, introduced by Sony in 2003. Four different product lines the XDCAM SD, XDCAM HD, XDCAM EX and XDCAM HD422 differ in types of encoder used, frame size, container type and in recording media. None of the later products have made earlier product lines obsolete. Sony maintains that different formats within XDCAM family have been designed to meet different applications and budget constraints. The XDCAM range includes cameras and decks which act as drop-in replacements for traditional VTRs allowing XDCAM discs to be used within a traditional videotape-based workflow. Now TV (also stylised as now TV) is a pay-TV service provider in Hong Kong operated by Now TV Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PCCW. Launched on 26 September 2003, its TV signal is transmitted with IPTV technology through HKT's fixed broadband network. Now TV is the largest pay-TV operator in Hong Kong in terms of number of subscribers, number of channels, number of HD channels and quantity of VOD contents.
