Novo Tempo ( Portuguese for 'New Time') is a Portuguese Christian TV channel and Radio Station for Brazil. It is owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Novo Tempo features programming produced by Adventist churches, colleges, hospitals and institutions, covering religious, health, educational and family life topics. Novo Tempo is a 24-hour broadcaster on satellite and cable networks in Brazil and is available over-the-air in some communities. Novo Tempo is part of the Hope Channel network. It was founded as ADSAT in 1996, broadcasting by satellite from its facilities in Nova Friburgo. Programming was limited to a dubbed edition of '' It Is Written'' () and . TV Cachoeira (channel 11) is a Novo Tempo-affiliated television station licensed to Cachoeira do Sul, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. History The license was granted on April 28, 1986, while the municipality inaugurated the facilities on December 10, 1986. TV Cachoeira started broadcasting on December 2, 1987. At the time, it was a Rede Manchete affiliate, by arrangement with TV Pampa. The station does not have archives of its early years. In 1992, when the Rede Pampa network disaffiliated itself from Rede Manchete, due to strategic reasons, unlike the inland stations of the network, it opted to join Rede Bandeirantes instead.
