Novigrad Sea.,.. or Novegradi Sea, or Novigradi Sea. (in Croatian language, Croatian ''Novigradsko more'') is an inland sea at the end of the Velebit Channel, in northern Dalmatia, Croatia. It is located east of the city of Zadar. Geography At the end of the Velebit Channel one enters the Novegradi Sea through the narrow Novsko Ždrilo channel, which opens in front of the village of Maslenica. (''Maslenica''). The other villages overlooking the shores of the bay are Posedarje to the northwest; Novigrad, Zadar County, Novigrad to the south; and ''Meka Draga'' to the southeast; while the territory of the bay is divided among the municipalities of Posedarje, Jasenice, Zadar County, Jasenice, Novigrad, and Obrovac, Croatia, Obrovac. The main inflow is the Zrmanja river which, after passing through Obrovac, flows into the eastern part of the bay, while to the west the small Bašćica river (''Bašćica'') flows in. Obrovac () is a town located in northern Dalmatia, in the Zadar County of Croatia. The Obrovac municipality has a total population of 4,323 people. Jasenice is a village and a municipality in the Zadar County, Croatia. Demographics In the 2021 census, there were 1,348 inhabitants in the municipality. Novigrad, Zadar County
Novigrad is a village and municipality in Croatia in the Zadar County. According to the 2011 census, there were 2,375 inhabitants, absolute majority of whom were Croats. History In 1386, the Hungarian and Croatian sovereign Mary and her mother, Elizabeth of Bosnia, were imprisoned in Novigrad. Elizabeth was strangled in Novigrad in 1387 but Mary was liberated.
