Novica Tončev
Novica Tončev ( sr-cyr, Новица Тончев; born 9 December 1962) is a Serbian politician and businessman serving as Minister without portfolio (Serbia), minister without portfolio since 2020. A member of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), he served as mayor of Surdulica from 2008 to 2014. He is the brother of Ivica Tončev, a prominent member of SPS and an advisor to party leader Ivica Dačić. Early life and career Tončev was born in Niš, then part of the People's Republic of Serbia in the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. He graduated from the University of Niš Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1989. He is the owner of the construction company ''Tončev Gradnja'' in Surdulica and the company ''Ton-Bau'' in Vienna, Austria, as well as being the co-owner Surdulica Radio-Television. Minister Without Portfolio (Serbia)
Minister without portfolio () is a minister in the Government of Serbia with no particular ministry but who has some specific responsibilities. The office was usually held simultaneously by several people at the same time (in the second cabinet of Mirko Marjanović there were ten Ministers without portfolio at one point). Local elections in Serbia were held on 6 May 2012. 2016 Serbian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 24 April 2016. Initially, the election were originally due to be held by March 2018, but on 17 January 2016 Prime Minister of Serbia, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić called for a snap election claiming Serbia "needs four more years of stability so that it is ready to Accession of Serbia to the European Union, join the European Union". The elections were held simultaneously with 2016 Vojvodina provincial election, provincial elections in Vojvodina and nationwide local elections. Voter turnout was 56%. 2016 Serbian Local Elections
Local elections were held in most cities and municipalities of Serbia (excluding the disputed territory of Kosovo) on 24 April 2016, with repeat voting later taking place in some jurisdictions. The elections were held concurrently with the 2016 Serbian parliamentary election and the 2016 Vojvodina provincial election. Elections were not held for the City Assembly of Belgrade, as its members were elected on a different four-year cycle (although local assembly elections were held in the City of Belgrade's constituent municipalities). In politics, the opposition comprises one or more political parties or other organized groups that are opposed to the government (or, in American English, the administration), party or group in political control of a city, region, state, country or other political body. A coalition government, or coalition cabinet, is a government by political parties that enter into a power-sharing arrangement of the executive. The Serbian Progressive Party (, SNS) is a major populist, catch-all party, catch-all List of political parties in Serbia, political party in Serbia. 2014 Serbian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 16 March 2014, with nineteen electoral lists competing for 250 members of the National Assembly. The election was called early, after tensions in the coalition led by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS). President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić scheduled the election at the same time as the previously announced Belgrade City Assembly election. Voter turnout was 53.09%, with 3.22% of votes invalid.
