Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League
The Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League is an amateur baseball league located in Nova Scotia. The league is the highest level of amateur baseball in the province, it is for players 18 and over. The league champion traditionally represents Nova Scotia at the following year's Canadian Senior Baseball Championships (the Nationals are in August while league playoffs are in September). Richie Mann
Richard W. "Richie" Mann (born 1954) is a retired Canadian politician, trades person and current lobbyist/business person in Nova Scotia. Mann was born and educated in St. Peter's and began a career in 1971 with Swedish pulp and paper company Stora where he worked as an industrial pipefitter/steamfitter from 1971 to 1988 at the pulp and paper mill in Point Tupper. While at Stora, Mann served as a shop steward with Local 972 of the Canadian Paperworkers Union. Mann holds the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League record for home runs in a season, set in 1977, for which he was inducted into the NS Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997. Bill Lee (left-handed Pitcher)
William Francis Lee III (born December 28, 1946), nicknamed "Spaceman", is an American former professional baseball left-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Boston Red Sox (1969–1978) and Montreal Expos (1979–1982). On November 7, 2008, Lee was inducted into the Red Sox Hall of Fame as the team's record-holder for most games pitched by a left-hander (321) and the third highest win total by a Red Sox southpaw (94). Matthew Wade Stairs (born February 27, 1968) is a Canadian former professional baseball outfielder, first baseman, and designated hitter, who holds the record for most pinch-hit home runs in Major League Baseball (MLB) history with 23. The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a minor professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams across the United States and Canada. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). Kentville, Nova Scotia
Kentville is an incorporated town in Nova Scotia. It is the most populous town in the Annapolis Valley. As of 2021, the town's population was 6,630. Its census agglomeration is 26,929. History Kentville owes its location to the Cornwallis River which, downstream from Kentville, becomes a large tidal river at the Minas Basin.
