History The launch of the channel was announced on 3 December 2020, when Nova Broadcasting Group announced that from 4 January 2021 Channel 3 will be named with the actual name retaining the team of the defunct channel. In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. Kanal 3 (Channel 3, ) is a Bulgarian television channel, initially started exclusively on the operator Sofia Kabel (Sofia Cable) in 1993. Until 1998 the television was called Sofia Kabel. Between 1998 and 2014, journalists such as Sasho Dikov, Lili Marinkova, Yulian Vuchkov, Margarita Mihneva and others had been working in the channel.
