Nothing As The Ideal
''Nothing as the Ideal'' is the sixth studio album by American psychedelic rock band All Them Witches. It was released on September 4, 2020, through New West Records. Background and production After the release of 2018's '' ATW'', All Them Witches drummer Robby Staebler converted his Nashville home into a studio, which proved creatively uneventful for the band, who recorded only one track there. The band decided to hire Mikey Allred, who had previously produced 2015's ''Dying Surfer Meets His Maker'', to help record their sixth studio album. After two months of writing, All Them Witches recorded ''Nothing as the Ideal'' in March 2020 at Abbey Road Studios. Composition and themes ''Nothing as the Ideal'' has been classified as a stoner rock and neo-psychedelia album. Reception ''Nothing as the Ideal'' was met with mostly positive reviews from music critics. All Them Witches
All Them Witches is an American rock band from Nashville. The band consists of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Charles Michael Parks Jr., guitarist Ben McLeod and keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist Allan Van Cleave. History Formation and early years (2012–2015) All Them Witches formed on January 6, 2012. Drummer Robby Staebler, having lost all of his money, had recently sold many of his possessions and moved to Nashville from Portland, Oregon and was living in his car. The reason he had moved was to play in an acquaintance's band, however, he left the project after finding the other party to be difficult as a collaborator. Staebler had created a rough collection of eight tracks on which he played all of the instruments and being "in love with the sound," was looking for musicians to record the music as a band. Kyuss
Kyuss ( ) was an American stoner rock band formed in Palm Desert, California, in 1987, and considered one of the pioneers of the genre. After disbanding in 1995, a number of band members have gone on to form or play in several notable bands including Queens of the Stone Age, Screaming Trees, Fu Manchu, Dwarves, Eagles of Death Metal, Mondo Generator, Hermano, Unida, Slo Burn, and Them Crooked Vultures. Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean is the same as the arithmetic mean.
