Northern Diamonds
Northern Diamonds were a women's cricket team that represented the traditional areas of the Northumbria (modern), North East and Yorkshire, one of eight regional hubs in English domestic women's cricket. They primarily played their home matches at Headingley Cricket Ground, Headingley and the Riverside Ground, Riverside. They were captained by Hollie Armitage and coached by former England women's cricket team, England cricketer Danielle Hazell. The team carried over elements of the Women's Cricket Super League, WCSL team Yorkshire Diamonds, and were partnered with Yorkshire Women cricket team, Yorkshire and North East Warriors. The Diamonds reached the final of the first three tournaments that they competed in, but lost each time. Linsey Smith
Linsey Claire Neale Smith (born 10 March 1995) is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex Women cricket team, Sussex, Southern Vipers, Northern Superchargers and Sydney Sixers (WBBL), Sydney Sixers. A slow left-arm orthodox bowler, she originally played for Berkshire Women cricket team, Berkshire before moving to Sussex ahead of the 2017 season. 2022 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy
The 2022 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy was the third edition of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, an English women's cricket 50-over domestic competition, which took place between 2 July and 25 September 2022. It featured eight teams playing in a round-robin group, followed by a knock-out round. The holders were the Southern Vipers, who won the first two editions of the competition. It ran alongside the Charlotte Edwards Cup. The tournament was named after former England captain Rachael Heyhoe Flint, Baroness Heyhoe-Flint, who died in 2017. Northern Diamonds finished top of the group stage, qualifying directly for the final. South East Stars and Southern Vipers qualified for the play-off, which was won by Vipers to set up the third Vipers versus Diamonds final in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy in its three years of existence. The 2021 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy was the second edition of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, an English women's cricket 50-over domestic competition, which took place between 29 May and 25 September 2021. It featured eight teams playing in a round-robin group, followed by a knock-out round. The holders were the Southern Vipers, who won the inaugural competition in 2020. It ran alongside the Charlotte Edwards Cup. The tournament was named after former England captain Rachael Heyhoe Flint, Baroness Heyhoe-Flint, who died in 2017. Southern Vipers finished top of the group stage, and as a result, they qualified automatically for the final. Northern Diamonds and Central Sparks finished second and third respectively, and so contested the playoff, which was won by the Diamonds to qualify for the final. Jennifer Louise Gunn (born 9 May 1986) is an English former cricketer who plays as a right-arm medium bowler and right-handed batter. She appeared in 11 Test matches, 144 One Day Internationals and 104 Twenty20 Internationals for England between 2004 and her international retirement in October 2019. Charlotte Michelle Taylor (born 2 February 1994) is an English cricketer who plays for Hampshire and Southern Vipers, and has previously played for Southern Brave. Taylor is an off spin bowler, and was the top wicket taker at the 2020 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. Personal life Taylor is from New Milton, Hampshire, England, and went to The Arnewood School. Southern Vipers
The Southern Vipers were a women's cricket team that represented the South of England. The Vipers wore an orange and black kit and primarily played their home matches at the Rose Bowl and the County Ground, Hove. They were coached by former England captain Charlotte Edwards. Southern Vipers were partnered with Hampshire, Sussex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight Cricket Board. Northumberland Women Cricket Team
The Northumberland Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Northumberland. They played their home games at Stocksfield Cricket Club Ground, Stocksfield. They competed in the Women's County Championship from 1998 to 2019 and in the Women's Twenty20 Cup from 2009 to 2018. In 2020, it was announced that Northumberland was merging its team with Durham, becoming North East Warriors. They are partnered with the regional side Northern Diamonds.
