The Bohle River is a river in North Queensland, Australia. Course and features The headwaters of the river rise in the Hervey Range south of and flows north along the coastal plain west of Lake Ross and then north, parallel with Ross River. The Hervey Range Developmental Road crosses the river east of Thuringowa and then the Ingham Connection Road crosses the river west of Townsville. It then enters the Bohle River Fish Habitat Area and the Townsville Town Common Conservation Park and discharges into the Halifax Bay near Bushland Beach, and then empties into the Coral Sea. The Ross Creek, part of the Ross River catchment, is the small estuarine portion of the Ross River; it is a bay inlet that separates the Townsville central business district from Ross Island. The creek is located in the lower reaches of the river catchment, in the city confines of Townsville, in North Queensland, Australia. Course and features The only passage across Ross Creek was by ferry until Victoria Bridge was completed in 1889. West End is an inner suburb of Townsville in the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. In the , West End had a population of 3,891 people. Ross River Dam
The Ross River Dam is a rock and earthfill-filled embankment dam across the Ross River, located between Kelso and Mount Stuart in the City of Townsville in northern Queensland, Australia. Built initially for flood control, Lake Ross, the impoundment created by the dam, serves as one of the major potable water supplies for the region. The dam reached 250% capacity in February 2019 as a result of mass rainfall and flooding in the area.
