North Texas SC
North Texas Soccer Club is a professional soccer club that competes in MLS Next Pro, the third division of American soccer. The team is owned by, and operates as the reserve team of the Major League Soccer club FC Dallas. North Texas SC currently plays most home games at Choctaw Stadium, located in Arlington, Texas. Before the 2022 MLS Next Pro, restructuring of MLS reserve teams, the team competed in USL League One as one of the league's founding members. History On November 2, 2018, it was announced by FC Dallas that Dallas would be granted a side to play in the newly created United Soccer League third division for 2019. The club then officially announced the name of the reserve side, North Texas SC, and crest on December 6, 2018. Choctaw Stadium
Choctaw Stadium, formerly Globe Life Park, is a multi-purpose stadium in Arlington, Texas, United States. The venue opened in April 1994 as a baseball stadium with the name The Ballpark in Arlington, serving as the home for the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball from 1994 Texas Rangers season, 1994 through 2019 Texas Rangers season, 2019. Mansfield is a suburban city in the U.S. state of Texas, and is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The city is located mostly in Tarrant County, with small parts in Ellis and Johnson counties. Pedro Henrique Fonseca de Araújo Martins (born 18 April 2003), commonly known as Pedrinho, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for FC Dallas. Career Born in Rio de Janeiro, Pedrinho joined Flamengo's youth setup at the age of nine. José Daniel Mulato Palacios (born 9 January 2003) is a Colombian professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for Bosnian Premier League club Igman Konjic on loan from Spartak Subotica. 2023 MLS Next Pro Season
The 2023 MLS Next Pro season was the second season of MLS Next Pro, the reserve league of Major League Soccer. It featured 27 clubs—an increase of seven from the inaugural 2022 season. Atlanta United 2, New York Red Bulls II and LA Galaxy II joined the league from the USL Championship. The expansion teams include Austin FC II (representing Austin FC), Crown Legacy FC ( Charlotte FC), Huntsville City FC (Nashville SC), and Los Angeles FC 2 (Los Angeles FC). Bernard Kamungo (born January 1, 2002) is a professional soccer player who plays as a winger for Major League Soccer club FC Dallas. Born a Congolese refugee in Tanzania, he represents the United States national team. Club career Born in Kasulu, Kamungo and his family had lived in a refugee camp after his parents fled Democratic Republic of the Congo. 2022 MLS Next Pro Season
The 2022 MLS Next Pro season was the inaugural season of MLS Next Pro, the reserve league of Major League Soccer. It is the first season since 2014 where MLS had a standalone reserve league, the previous season being the MLS Reserve League. Including both MLS Next Pro and the MLS Reserve League, it is the ninth season of a reserve league operated by MLS. The league is sanctioned as a third division league by U.S. Soccer. Gibran Rayo Najera (born October 14, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Foro SC in the United Premier Soccer League. Career Rayo played for North Texas SC while still a member of the FC Dallas Academy in 2019 and rejoined North Texas for the 2020 season. On March 16, 2022, Rayo signed with MLS Next Pro independent side Rochester New York FC ahead of the 2022 season. The 2021 USL League One season was the third season of USL League One. The regular season began on April 10 and ended on October 30, 2021. The playoffs was held from November 6 to 20, 2021. North Carolina FC joined the league for this season, after leaving the USL Championship in what the team called a "strategic move" to enhance its youth development pathway. Ronaldo Damus (born 12 September 1999) is a Haitian footballer who plays as a forward for USL Championship club Birmingham Legion, on loan from GIF Sundsvall, and the Haiti national team.
