North God is the third studio album by South African American hip hop recording artist Da L.E.S, released on November 27, 2015, through Fresh 2 Def Records and Sony Music Entertainment Africa. Background Recording sessions for the album started in 2014 after the release of his sophomore album ''Mandela Money''. Da L.E.S has reportedly entered the studio with South African DJ Dimplez, and rappers Ma-E and Kid X from the Cashtime, Cashtime Life hip hop collective. Promotion The album was made available for pre-order on iTunes on November 13, 2015 and released officially on November 27, 2015. On December 3, 2015, Da L.E.S launched an album release party and concert at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg. He partnered with iTunes to ensure that the first 150 people to pre-order his album will get free access to the event. Mandela Money is the second studio album by South African Americans, South African American hip hop recording artist and record producer Da L.E.S, released on July 4, 2014. It is his first album to be released by his record company Fresh 2 Def Productions, along with a distribution deal through Sony Music Entertainment Africa. Background Recording sessions for the album began after the release of the commercially successful single, titled "Heaven" which features guest verses from fellow South African hip hop recording artists AKA (rapper), AKA and Maggz. Da L.E.S used the R1 million cash prize that he won from Tropika in 2013 to build his own record and publishing company Fresh 2 Def Productions. Tumi Molekane
Tumi Molekane (born 16 August 1981) is a Tanzanian-born South African rapper and poet. He was the lead vocalist of Tumi and the Volume, that was officially disbanded in 2012. In 2016, Tumi relaunched himself as Stogie T and released an eponymous album, which featured Da L.E.S, Lastee, Emtee, Nasty C, Nadia Nakai and Yanga. He has two singles from the album.
