Cache County School District is a school district located in Cache County, Utah, United States. It serves all the communities within Cache County, except most of the city of Logan (which is served by Logan City School District). It is one of 41 school districts within the state and 10th largest in terms of student enrollment. North Logan, Utah
North Logan is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 10,986 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho (partial) Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is mainly composed of residential sub-divisions and is a suburb of the county seat, Logan. The city has an annual event every year in October called the Pumpkin Walk. North Logan was first settled in 1890. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.9 square miles (17.9 km), of which 6.9 square miles (17.9 km) is land and 0.14% is water. Providence is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 8,218 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Providence lies south of Logan on former State Route 238. Its 1990 census population was 3,344. Situated immediately east of the confluence of Spring Creek with the Logan River, the town lies astride a delta at the mouth of Providence Canyon and beneath Big Baldy Mountain. The settlement was located on Spring Creek to take advantage of water, arable land, timber resources, and existing trails. Mendon, Utah
Mendon ( ) is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,339 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Mendon was settled in 1859. James G. Willie, leader of the ill-fated Mormon handcart pioneer company known as the Willie Company, was one of the early settlers of Mendon. He served at times as mayor and postmaster of the town. The Forster Hotel is one of nine sites in Mendon listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Mendon made national news in 1974 when the city council ended the century-old tradition of paying the mayor a salary of $15 per year and council members $10 per year, the figure that had been set at the time of Mendon's incorporation in 1870. Hyde Park, Utah
Hyde Park is a city in north-central Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 5,234 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The first settlers were Latter-day Saints who moved from Lehi in 1860. Hyde Park was officially organized by Ezra T. Benson on July 1, 1860. The settlement was named in honor of William Hyde, one of the first settlers to arrive in the area on April 23, 1860. The name choice also evoked Hyde Park in London, England which was the homeland of many early settlers. It was at this same meeting that Hyde was also appointed as Bishop of the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hyde Park. Smithfield is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 13,571 at the 2020 United States Census, It is included in the Logan, Utah–Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area, and is the second largest city in the area after Logan, the county seat. Smithfield is home to Sky View High School and three public elementary schools. Richmond, Utah
Richmond is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 2,733 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. It is included in the Logan metropolitan area. History Agrippa Cooper was the first settler in Richmond in the mid-1850s.
