Nordecke
The Nordecke ( /nɔːrdˈɛkə/); is the independent supporters collective for the Columbus Crew. They are situated in the north stand of Lower.com Field. History Supporter culture of the Crew was fragmented during the first decade of matches at Crew Stadium, prominent groups included La Turbina Amarilla, Crew Union, and the Hudson Street Hooligans. In 2008, the Hunt Family built a stage into the North Stand of the stadium after the closing of Germain Amphitheater in Polaris. This consolidated the supporter's sections of the stadium into the Northeast Corner. As a result, the supporters clubs that were once fragmented across the section were moved into one - and the Nordecke was founded as a result. Columbus Crew
The Columbus Crew are an American professional soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference (MLS), Eastern Conference. The team began play in 1996 as one of the 10 charter clubs of the league. The Crew are currently operated by an ownership group led by the Haslam family (also owners of the Cleveland Browns and Pilot Company, Pilot Corporation) and former team physician Pete Edwards. The Haslam/Edwards group is the third ownership group in club history. The franchise was founded in 1994. Its stadium is Lower.com Field, opened in 2021. James Arthur Haslam III (born March 9, 1954) is an American businessman and sports executive. He is the chairman of the board of the Pilot Flying J truck stop chain. Arthur Bertram Modell (June 23, 1925 – September 6, 2012) was an American businessman, entrepreneur and National Football League (NFL) team owner. He owned the Cleveland Browns franchise for 35 years and established the Baltimore Ravens franchise, which he owned for eight years. Grant Wahl (December 2, 1973 – December 10, 2022) was an American sports journalist and soccer analyst for CBS Sports, a senior writer for ''Sports Illustrated'' and a correspondent for Fox Sports, based in New Yorkers in journalism, New York City.
