Nord-Ostsee-Bahn or NOB is a railway company which operates in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Based in Kiel, the company was established in 2000 and is owned by Transdev. NSB Di 6, later designated ME 26 and DE 2700, is a class of twelve diesel-electric locomotives built by Siemens for the Norwegian State Railways (NSB). The prime mover provides a power output of , a starting traction effort of and a maximum speed of . They have a Co′Co′ wheel arrangement. The bidirectional locomotives were designed for use with both passenger and freight trains. The units were ordered by NSB in 1992 as replacements for the aging Di 3, and were particularly intended for use on the Nordland Line and to a lesser extent on the Røros Line. Construction was done by Maschinenbau Kiel (MaK) in Kiel, Germany, which was then part of Siemens Schienenfahrzeugtechnik. Marsh Railway
The Marsh Railway (german: Marschbahn) is a main line in the state of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany that links the stations of Elmshorn in the south and Westerland on the island of Sylt in the north. It is part of long route from Hamburg-Altona to Westerland (Sylt) and is listed in the Deutsche Bahn timetables as . The first part of it was opened in 1845 and is one of the oldest lines in Germany. Eurorunner
The Eurorunner family of locomotives are a series of medium- to high-power diesel-electric locomotives built by Siemens for the European market. Introduced from 2002 onwards, they share design characteristics with the successful Eurosprinter range of electric locomotives, also built by Siemens. The main initial order for these locomotives was for 100 of the four-axle ER20 for the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) and designated ÖBB type 2016, and commonly called Hercules; further smaller orders from smaller railway companies have also been fulfilled. Later six-axle versions ER20CF were produced for Lithuanian Railways. A higher-power version ER30 is also offered but has not resulted in any orders as of 2010.
