Nora Blom
Nora Blom (born 22 February 1951) is a Dutch former professional tennis player. While touring in the 1970s she was known by her married name Nora Lauteslager. Blom is a descendant of tennis players Otto Blom and Arthur Diemer Kool. A left-handed player, Blom was youth champion of the Netherlands in 1967 for the 17s and youth champion for the 20s in 1970. 1974 Australian Open – Women's Singles
Evonne Goolagong Cawley, Evonne Goolagong defeated Chris Evert in the final, 7–6, 4–6, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 1974 Australian Open. It was her first Australian Open title and third Grand Slam (tennis)#Tournaments, major title overall, following three consecutive runner-up finishes at the tournament. Otto Blom
Otto Blom (19 March 1887 – 22 July 1972) was a Dutch tennis player. He competed for the Netherlands in the tennis event at the 1912 Summer Olympics where he took part in the men's singles competition. He lost in the first round to the Swede Carl Setterwall in three straight sets. He won the singles title at the Dutch Tennis Championships in 1909, 1910 and 1911. At the same tournament he won the doubles title in 1909 and 1912 and the mixed doubles title in 1906 and 1911. Blom participated in the Wimbledon Championships in 1909 and 1910. In 1909 he lost in the first round of the singles event to George Coulson and also lost in the first round of the doubles event. Arthur Diemer Kool
Arthur Diemer Kool (30 January 1896 – 3 October 1959) was a Dutch tennis player. He won the singles title at the Dutch Tennis Championships in 1912 aged 16 and won the title again in 1915, 1916 and 1917. With Gerard Scheurleer he became doubles champion in 1914, 1915 and with Christiaan van Lennep in 1916 and 1923. Diemer Kool won the national mixed doubles title in 1914, 1916 and 1917. He played in 15 ties for the Dutch Davis Cup team between 1920 and 1933 and compiled a 25–13 win-loss record. Diemer Kool participated in the 1921 Wimbledon Championships where he reached the third round in the singles event in which he lost to André Gobert in four sets. Pam Teeguarden
Pam Teeguarden (born April 17, 1951) is an American former professional tennis player in the 1970s and 1980s, ranked in the top 20 from 1970–1975. She won two Grand Slam Doubles Titles and was a quarter finalist in singles at the U.S. Open and The French Open. Her father Jerry, a well known coach, helped Margaret Court win the coveted Grand Slam (all four Grand Slam titles in one year) in 1970 and Virginia Wade to her 1977 Wimbledon triumph. Teeguarden played in 19 consecutive US Opens, holding the record until Chris Evert played in 20. She wore the first all black outfit in the history of tennis in 1975 at The Bridgestone Doubles Championships in Tokyo, starting a trend that is still popular today. Teeguarden was the first woman tennis player signed by Nike. The Netherlands Billie Jean King Cup team represents the Netherlands in the Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Lawn Tennis Bond.
