Nolan Evans
Nolan Evans (1885–1948), sometimes known as Peggy Evans, was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Clapton Orient as a left back. Personal life Evans worked as a miner. He served as a sergeant in the Football Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment during the First World War. The Football League Second Division was the second level division in the English football league system between 1892 and 1992. Following the foundation of the FA Premier League, the Football League divisions were renumbered and the third tier became known as the Football League Second Division. After the rebranding of the Football League in 2003–04, it became known as Football League One.
