Noel Hoefenmayer
Noel Hoefenmayer (born January 6, 1999) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the fourth round, 108th overall, by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2017 NHL entry draft. Playing career Early years Hoefenmayer played minor Midget for the Don Mills Flyers of the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) where he recorded 10 goals and 23 assists in 62 games during the 2014–15 season. He also competed for Team GTHL Blue as part of the 2014 GTHL Top Prospects Game as well as at the ensuing Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Gold Cup, winning the tournament. For his offensive output, Hoefenmayer was taken by the Ottawa 67's (36th overall) in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection draft. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league comprises 32 teams, with 26 in the United States and 6 in Canada. As of the 2024–25 AHL season, all 32 NHL teams held affiliations with an AHL team. Historically, when an NHL team does not have an AHL affiliate, its players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL franchises.
