Noam Yaacov
Noam Yaacov ( he, נועם יעקוב; born October 20, 2004) is an Israeli–Danish professional basketball player for LDLC ASVEL of the French LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague. He plays at the point guard position. Early years Yaacov was born in Denmark, just outside of Copenhagen, to a Danish mother (Sidsel) and an Israeli-Jewish father (Yonatan), he was raised in Denmark. In July 2018, at the age of 13, he immigrated to Israel without his parents, living with his grandparents. In Israel he resides in HaOgen, a kibbutz where his grandparents also live. Professional career On July 5, 2021, Yaacov signed a contract with ASVEL Basket of the LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague. On September 13, 2022, Yaacov made his debut for the team, recording 11 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. In 2021-22 he averaged 7.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.1 steals in 17.1 minutes per game over 38 games. LNB Pro A
The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The winner of the play-offs of the Pro A is crowned the French national champion. Competition format All 16 Pro A League teams play each other twice during the regular season. At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams qualify for the playoffs. The two teams with the worst regular season records are relegated to the 2nd-tier Pro B. Chanan Safir Colman ( he, חנן ספיר קולמן; born March 10, 1984) is a Danish-Israeli professional basketball player for Hapoel Haifa of the Israel Basketball Premier League. The article describes the European qualifiers for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. First round The 24 national teams that qualified for EuroBasket 2022 automatically qualified for this stage.
