Noah Shannon
Noah Shannon (born March 16, 2000) is an American professional football defensive tackle who is a free agent. He previously played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Early life and high school Shannon grew up in Montgomery, Illinois and attended Oswego High School in Oswego, Illinois, where he lettered in football and baseball. Coming out of high school, Shannon was rated as a three star recruit, where he decided to commit to play college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes. College career In Shannon's first collegiate season with the Hawkeyes in 2018, Shannon did not play and use the season to redshirt. Over the next three seasons n 2019, 2020, and 2021, Shannon played in 24 games, totaling 63 tackles with two and a half being for a loss, two and a half sacks, a pass deflection, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that typically lines up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the Guard (American football), offensive guards; however, he may also line up opposite one of the offensive Tackle (gridiron football position), tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. 2024 NFL Draft
The 2024 NFL draft was the 89th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible players. The draft was held at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit on April 25–27, 2024. The draft had an attendance of over 775,000, breaking the record previously set in 2019. Montgomery is a village within the Chicago Metropolitan Area of Kane and Kendall counties, Illinois. The village is a suburb/exurb of Chicago located roughly southwest of the city. The population was 20,262 at the 2020 census. History The first European settler arriving in the area was Jacob Carpenter, who came to the Chicago area from Logan County, Ohio, in November 1832.
