No Way Back (Norther EP)
Norther was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Espoo that was formed in 1996 and broke up in 2012. They released six studio albums. History Norther formed under the name Requiem (Lindroos, Korpas, Hallio) in 1996 after various early stage band formations. The band's debut effort was the album ''Dreams of Endless War'', released through Spinefarm Records in 2002. It entered the Finnish charts at number 17. At the time, Norther was playing shows only in and around the Helsinki area. That changed when the album ''Mirror of Madness'' came out in early 2003 (entering the Finnish charts at number 11). The group toured with Dimmu Borgir and Hypocrisy in late 2003. In early 2004, Norther released its third full-length album, ''Death Unlimited'', which reached 17 on the Finnish charts. Wacken Open Air
Wacken Open Air (, abbreviated as W:O:A) is a Heavy metal music, heavy metal music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Almost all styles and subgenres of hard rock and heavy metal music, metal are represented and hosted. It is now one of the largest heavy metal festivals in the world and one of the largest open-air festivals in Germany. Jukka Koskinen is a Finnish musician who is the bassist for the metal bands Wintersun, Nightwish and Crownshift. He was also the bassist for Norther from 2000 until their disbandment in 2012, for Amberian Dawn from 2010 until 2013, for Cain's Offering from 2009 until 2014 and for Dark Sarah in 2014. Brutal Assault is an Open-air concert, open-air extreme metal rock festival, festival that takes place in the 18th-century army fortress Josefov Fortress, Josefov, located in Jaroměř, Czechia. It is held each August early in the month from Wednesday until Saturday. The festival started in 1996, originally focused on grindcore. For many years, it was a small event with mainly Czech and Slovak bands performing. It changed location several times and grew into a large event by 2006, when over 7,000 people attended the festival in Svojšice (Pardubice District), Svojšice. The album was released through Century Media Records on 30 March in Japan, on 13 April in Finland, on 15 April in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Norway, and on 18 April in the rest of Europe. Petri Lindroos
Petri Lindroos (born 10 January 1980) is a Finnish heavy metal musician. He has been the lead vocalist/ harsh vocalist and a guitarist for Ensiferum since 2004. In 2023, he joined Warmen in the same role. He was also a founding member of Norther, playing with them from 1996 to 2009. Biography Petri (also known as "Pete") Lindroos was born in Espoo. At 14 years old, he began to play the guitar. In 1996, he founded the melodic death metal/power metal band Norther with drummer Toni Hallio. In 2004, he joined the folk metal band Ensiferum as lead vocalist and continued to perform and record with Norther until March 2009, when Norther's website announced his departure from the band to focus more on his duties with Ensiferum. The album was released through Century Media Records on 13 February 2008 in Finland, and other dates in February for other parts of Europe.
