No Surrender (2009)
The 2009 No Surrender was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion, which took place on September 20, 2009 at the TNA Impact! Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the fifth event under the No Surrender chronology. Nine matches were contested at the event. In the main event, AJ Styles defeated Kurt Angle, Sting, Matt Morgan and Hernandez in a Five-Way Dance to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. The Beautiful People was a stable known for its time with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) where Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, Lacey Von Erich and Cute Kip were all members throughout its several incarnations. The team is known for its narcissistic gimmick and holding the TNA Knockouts Championship and the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship simultaneously. Their characters were portrayed as arrogant blonde Barbie dolls, whose main goal as a team was to "cleanse" the TNA roster "one ugly person at a time", based on the belief that their physical attractiveness was greater than that of others in the company, however various incarnations have portrayed them as faces. Shantelle Larissa Malawski (born January 26, 1986) is a Canadian retired professional wrestler. She is best known for her time with TNA Wrestling, where she performed under the ring name Taylor Wilde. The TNA X Division Championship is a men's professional wrestling championship created and promoted by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). It debuted on June 19, 2002, at the taping of TNA's second then- weekly pay-per-view (PPV) event. The current champion is Moose, who is in his first reign. The championship is contested in TNA's X Division, which emphasizes fast-paced, acrobatic wrestling, traditionally featuring cruiserweight wrestlers. The TNA Television Championship was a professional wrestling championship owned by the promotion Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA, later Impact Wrestling, now TNA). It was introduced on the October 23, 2008 episode of TNA's television program ''TNA Impact!'' as the TNA Legends Championship.
