''No Restrictions'' is the fifth studio album by American singer Jordin Sparks. It was released on September 13, 2024, by Legacy Music. This is her first studio album of all original material since 2015's '' Right Here Right Now''. The album features collaborations with T-Pain, Stonebwoy and Shawn Stockman. Background Sparks began working on the album while in lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Composition Sparks wrote on all of the album's fifteen tracks. Vincent Berry II
Vincent Berry is an American songwriter and producer, best known for writing " Sandcastles" from Beyoncé's 2016 album ''Lemonade'', as well as various songs for Mary J. Blige and Tamar Braxton, among others. Berry, a Morehouse College student who dropped out in his senior year to pursue songwriting, was homeless at the time he penned what was initially titled "We Built Sandcastles That Washed Away", a song about the end of a decade-long relationship. After several re-writes with the help of additional co-writers Midian Mathers, Malik Yusef, and Beyoncé Knowles, as well as a "tear-filled" pitching session with Parkwood Entertainment A&R executive Teresa LaBarbera Whites, the song was placed onto Knowles' Grammy-winning album with a "more hopeful" ending than was originally created. Bernard Belle (November 12, 1964 – June 23, 2022) was an American composer, producer, and musician. After starting his career as an R&B guitarist, Belle became known as a songwriter for Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston and a producer of gospel music. Afrobeats, not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing, is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Ghana, Nigeria, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s.
