Black Label Society
Black Label Society is an American heavy metal/southern metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1998 by guitarist/singer Zakk Wylde. To date, the band has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums, one EP, and three video albums. History ''Sonic Brew'' and formation (1998–1999) In the early 1990s, Wylde had formed his own solo band Pride & Glory, playing a mixture of bluesy Southern rock with heavy metal. However, they disbanded in December 1994 after having released only one album. Wylde subsequently recorded an acoustic solo album, '' Book of Shadows'' (1996). In May 1998, after limited commercial success with ''Book of Shadows'', Wylde and drummer Phil Ondich recorded what became Black Label Society's debut album ''Sonic Brew''. John Purdell
John Purdell (July 8, 1959 – July 10, 2003) was an American keyboardist, songwriter, music engineer, and multi-platinum rock music record producer who is credited on such albums as Ozzy Osbourne's '' No More Tears'' (1991) and Dream Theater's ''Awake'' (1994). Brian Tichy ( ; born August 18, 1968) is an American musician, best known as having been the drummer for Whitesnake, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Sass Jordan, and Ozzy Osbourne. He was the drummer of Whitesnake from 2010 to 2013. His surname means ''silent'' in Czech, Slovak and other Slavic languages. Joseph Anthony Vitale (born April 2, 1949) is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. In a career spanning more than 55 years, Vitale has played with many of the top names in music during a career dating back to the 1970s. Pride & Glory was a side project formed by vocalist/guitarist Zakk Wylde (previously of Ozzy Osbourne) and White Lion members James LoMenzo and Greg D'Angelo. It was the first project for which Wylde also served as lead vocalist, prior to releasing his first solo-album, 1996's '' Book of Shadows''. Wylde subsequently formed the band Black Label Society in 1998, which remains active. Pride & Glory released one self-titled studio album before disbanding in 1994. William Thomas Ward (born 5 May 1948) is an English drummer. He was a co-founder and the original drummer for the hard rock band Black Sabbath. Ward helped found Black Sabbath in 1968 alongside bandmates Ozzy Osbourne (lead singer), Tony Iommi (guitarist), and Geezer Butler (bass). Anthony Frank Iommi Jr. (born 19 February 1948) is an English musician.
