Nkana FC is a football club based in Kitwe, Zambia. The football team competes in the MTN Super League, the top division of Zambian football. Nkana FC has won 13 League titles, making it Zambia's most successful league club, and second overall behind Mufulira Wanderers, with 52 trophies. They play their home games at Nkana Stadium in Wusakile, Kitwe. The club is currently sponsored by Mopani Copper Mines, which is also the team's major owner. The club has also acquired a kit sponsorship deal with global online gambling company GAL Sports Betting. In 2020, after the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Zambia, Mopani Copper Mines reduced the sponsorship deal to the club by 50 percent, citing the failure of the copper prices due to the pandemic. Nkana Stadium, previously known as Scrivener Stadium, is a multi-use stadium in Kitwe, Zambia. It serves as home stadium for Zambian Premier League, MTN/FAZ Super League side Nkana F.C. The ABSA Cup, formerly the Barclays Cup, is the current branding for an association football cup competition launched in 2007 by the Football Association of Zambia. Participants are decided half-way through current season (match day 17) and are picked from the two highest divisions in Zambia. Since the inaugural season of National Division One in the 2019–20 season, 2 teams are picked from that division and 6 are from the Super League to enter the competition each year. T3 Road (Zambia)
The T3 is a trunk road in Zambia. The road runs from Kapiri Mposhi via Ndola, Kitwe and Chingola to Kasumbalesa on the border with DR Congo. The entire route is a toll road. In Kapiri Mposhi, the T3 connects with the T2 to Lusaka, making it part of the main link between Zambia's capital city and DR Congo. The T3 is the main route through the Copperbelt Province, passing through 4 and bypassing 1 of the 10 main towns in the province. Arthur Davies Stadium
Arthur Davies Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Kitwe, Zambia, named after Arthur Walter Davies who was a FIFA-accredited referee and active member of the Zambian FA. Whilst General Manager of the Copperbelt Power Corporation (now the Copperbelt Energy Corporation) which was based in Kitwe, he established the Power Dynamos F.C. and the stadium.
